Getting that old itch again...

No, no... it's not what you may think.

I've been getting the itch to visit Azeroth again. I'd like to get my hunter out and shake off the dust. I know my rogue is probably wondering why in the hell I ditched him.
And my paladin? Well, he's probably out on a drunken bender blessing the holy-hell out of everyone in sight.

Now, those of you that have no idea where Azeroth is, count yourself as lucky. Those of us in the know know how hard that pull can be. Especially when you've been gone for a while.

Azeroth is the universe in which World of Warcraft resides (yes, yes, I left out Outlands! WoW nerds know as well as I do that that place was nothing more than a gank-fest. Frustrating, at best.)

I've worked hard at keeping my "Quitter" title in WoW. It's the easiest one to get but the hardest to keep. (Never mind the fact that it's the second time I've earned it...)

The worst part about it? I know some of my old buddies are back in the game, or at least seriously debating their returns as well. Argh!

First World problems, right?

I wonder what the current rate of recidivism is for Warcraft.

And yes, I used the word recidivism on purpose. I know it carries a negative connotation and sometimes returning to Stormwind or Ogrimmar can be a bad thing for a person (and their relationships, wallets, time resources, eyes, lower backs, butts... you get the drift.)

But, I just happened to get an email showing off Blizzard's (the makers of WoW) new Recruit-A-Friend mount... and I have to say, it is sweet.

So sweet as to tempt me back into the game? That is yet to be determined... but here's hoping that my wallet doesn't find itself cracked open, my credit card on my desk, and my fingers typing those financial digits into Blizz's payment site.

I know my eyes and my posterior would probably appreciate it if I didn't lose my hard earned title.

By the way, two orcs and a blood elf walk into a bar in Undercity. The orcs ducked. The blood elf with them didn't see the bar and suffered mild bruising and a small laceration.

WoW humor. Sad, ain't it?
